What is being worked on, and what comes next
Tickroll is a status board. It shows a client what Dalaric is working on, what comes next, what is waiting on someone and what is done, on one page.
What a board shows
Four columns
Every card sits in Working on, Next, Waiting on or Done. A card that is waiting says who it is waiting on.
Time from ticks
The person doing the work ticks the cards they are on, and each day's time is shared between them. There is no timer to start or stop.
A bucket list
Longer term ideas wait in a list of their own, grouped by category and ordered by priority.
Regular tasks
Work that repeats is listed with when it is next due, and with a history of each time it was done.
Reports and supporting info
Status reports are published on the board, beside reference notes that show what changed in each one. A card can carry attached files, such as PDFs.
Deployments
Releases have a board of their own, laid out in the same four columns, with the project and release on each card.
Each board has a reading address for the client and a separate address where the changes are made. Both are behind Cloudflare Access, and the time is shown only on the address where the changes are made.
Can I use it?
Tickroll is made and used by Dalaric, and it is not open to new users yet. It runs two boards today, one for a client and one for Dalaric's own work.
Later, Dalaric clients will open their boards from my.dalaric.com, Dalaric's customer portal.
If you would like to hear when it opens, email info@dalaric.com.
